Meme

Accio gave me the letter T. It took me hours to think up five characters whose names start with that letter. O_o Talk about your tough assignments! Thank goodness for Google.

The meme rules:

1. Comment on this post with I VOLUNTEER!
2. I will give you a letter.
3. Think of 5 fictional characters and post their names and your comments on these characters in your IJ/LJ/DW.

Ummm, Abrae? This is why I don't have another 2K words for you-yet. *facepalms*

A/N: I know it's been a long time since I updated, but I'm still writing this story and enjoying watching Harry and Snape tapdance around each other. I can't thank y'all enough for reading along. {{hugs}} My undying gratitude to [info]abrae for her thoughts, ideas, suggestions and, as she calls it, nit-picking. She's brilliant to work with and with every suggestion makes this story infinitely better.

All of out sorts

If anyone knows where I can get more sorts, please let me know.

I'm behind.

I'm behind on reading.

I'm behind on writing.

I'm behind on commenting.

I'm behind on emails.

I'm behind on pool.

I'm behind on correspondence.

I'm behind on bills.

I'm just...behind and it's stressing me out.

Oddly enough, I'm not behind at work, though I feel like I am because I'm behind everywhere else. If I owe you something, I promise I'll get to it when my brain catches up to the rest of me.

BEST Birthday Story EVER

The lovely and amazingly talented [personal profile] abrae wrote a beautiful companion piece to my Secret Snarry entry Beyond Price, a short story written to the prompt "Harry in Winter" from the Goblet of Fire soundtrack.

Her story, A Fly on the Wall gives us an uncertain Harry, knowing he wants something that expresses his understanding of Snape, but doesn't quite know how to put it in words. Hearing Harry describe his relationship with Snape so it can be set to the appropriate music is breathtaking in its simplicity and seeing their relationship through the eyes of the witch who wrote the music is absolutely lovely.

Please read it. Please tell her how beautiful it is, because it really is that good!

Thank you, lovely lady, for a deeply appreciated gift.

Genius Help Requested

I can tell you in nauseating detail what Rip Van Winkle felt like when he woke up....

For those of you who cross-post everywhere, do you use a program to accomplish this feat of magic? Or do you copy and paste after logging into your journals/blogs? Do you consider one place or another your 'home' journal?

I'm trying to keep up with three (!) identities and failing miserably. Advice cheerfully accepted.

Resistance is Futile

It is a sign of how thoroughly I've been captured by the Potions Master and the Auror that when I went to log into Dreamwidth to look something up, I typed www.secretsnar before my brain kicked in.

I have no words, but only because I'm laughing so hard. :D

FIC: Beyond Price

Title: Beyond Price
Author: jeshakeoma
Rating: PG
Word count: ~3,950
Summary: The twelfth gift Severus received is one he'll remember for the rest of his life.
Prompt: "Harry in Winter" from the Goblet of Fire soundtrack. There's a link to it at the appropriate point in the story.
A/N: This was written for the 2011 Secret Snarry fest in the [info]snape_potter comm. The work is f-locked on LJ and IJ, but reproduced here in its entirety. I can't thank the mods enough for their encouragement. Without them, this never would have seen the light of day. Special thanks to Lori for the last minute beta.

Wow!

Until the Secret Snarry, I'd never written a prompt before. I'd never written to a prompt before and when all the claiming frenzy was happening and my prompt just sort of sat there for awhile, I was pretty sure I'd managed to come up with the dumbest prompt in the history of fandom fests.

I can't put into words how incredibly moving this piece is to me, nor can I properly express my admiration for how strongly it resonates. From the comments, it appears I'm not alone in thinking this is an amazing work of art.

I am humbled by the generosity of this gift.

Snarry fen

Now that I've responded to comments on my fest entry, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you, especially [info]accioslash, for extending such a warm welcome to those of us who are new to this fandom and for continuing to contribute to keeping Snarry alive and well. Everyone I've encountered has been so gracious and so generous with their time and encouraging to boot that I feel blessed to be a part of such a great community.

I look forward to enjoying more of your works in the future.

I hear all the best people are on IJ

Just getting started over here to the point where I don't even have any icons. Shall scavenge for Snarry icons later.

For now, this is a quick placeholder until I figure out what I want to say.
